Challenge Faced:

Our Client, a small-cap mechanical construction and services company was looking to refine and update its financial model. The Excel based was a private equity-built financial model, capturing different scenarios for fund raising and exit strategies for investors. The client wanted to build complex scenarios for the acquisition of companies of different sizes and fund raising from private equity partners, followed by valuation and returns calculations at the time of exit.

Solution Provided:

We studied the existing model and created different scenarios for acquiring new business over the forecasted period. We, further built-in scenarios, and approaches to raise funds for acquisition and how the capital structure will change over time. The final model was well received by the private equity partners and helped the client raise funds for acquisition of new businesses.
