A Chain of Dental Clinics in GC, Australia

Project:

An Australian dentist was contemplating setting-up franchises of an internationally acclaimed dentistry chain in Gold Coast, Australia with the help of a local consultant. While the local consultant worked on site, he outsourced us secondary research including a writing a business plan and detailed financial model.

The project required an estimate of dental market in Gold Coast and Queensland, the TAM, common type of dental problems that occur, number of small and big clinics in addition to modelling unit economics and growth scenarios (i.e., set up more than one clinic). Other key research objective was to estimate the number of people with more than 5 teeth missing or completely toothless.

Solution Provided:

For determining the market size, we prepared a questionnaire and polled local doctors. Our efforts also included studying dental market reports, including journal, government, and third-party reports, using local directories in sourcing the total number of clinics and checking public records citing incidences of serious dental diseases. We were able to close the project with details beyond our clients’ expectations which helped him launch his clinic four months prior to plan.
